Looking forward to the Glory to Come

November 4, 2011 under Life, prophetic, Time

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

I’m just so excited as I consider the future: glory! My future, and all those who belong to Jesus, is glory. Yes, so we may have to endure some suffering, along with some painful, uncomfortable and bad experiences while we live and breath at this present time, but just as the scripture says, they are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us when Christ returns.

Imagine the future for those who belong to Jesus: it’s like this life but all the suffering and other bad stuff mentioned above are gone, and there you are, living and breathing, fully alive and fully capable to comprehend your state and experience all that is good (as in all the good [and not that which we may just think is good but all that which is genuinely good] we know in the world now). I imagine it will be like heaven on earth for those who belong to Jesus, which is the exact state the human condition deeply longs for. It longs for this state because that is the original state which man was supposed to experience, a state in which man lost when sin entered the world through Adam’s disobedience, and a state which God, by His infinite genius and love for mankind, determined to restore through His Son Jesus Christ.

In conclusion, this is why my heart rejoices and knows that no matter what darkness I may face in this life, it’s not worthy to be compared to the glory to come. Praise the Lord!
